Thurrock Island | Week 7

Activity 7 – Transformation

Good morning!

Today we are announcing the last activity of the project, we really hope you have enjoyed it so far. This week’s activity is to design flowers and plants to show the landscape transforming as the Landfolk and Merfolk work together to reduce climate change and pollution.

What is your favourite flower? Does a specific plant remind you of a special memory or person? You could design something from your memory or create something new from your imagination.

Get creative with different medias, you could try a colouring, collage, a painting, something digital, or even photography. What is your favourite artistic medium?

To be in with a chance of having your plants and flowers featured in the Thurrock Island storybook please scan or photograph your artwork and either upload a JPEG or PNG image of your artwork to the Thurrock Island Facebook group or email them to

We are looking forward to seeing what you create.

Please share your artworks on social media using #ThurrockIsland
